SoftChalk
SoftChalk Cloud is a web-based tool that allows users to create interactive e-learning content. It can be used to develop course materials, activities, assessments, and more, which can then be shared with other instructors or between courses. SoftChalk Cloud can also be integrated with Tri-C's learning management system (LMS) to help educators manage student coursework and evaluations.

SoftChalk Create Online is a great flexible and easy-to-use tool for course design and management:
- Faculty can log into their Tri-C SoftChalk account from any computer with internet access and
quickly and easily create lessons from within their browser without needing to install any
additional software - Every lesson or activity linked to Brightspace with SoftChalk’s Link Selector tool will update
automatically when updated from SoftChalk Cloud - SoftChalk lessons and integrated activities are engaging and are accessible on mobile devices,
tablets, and screen-readers
In addition, SoftChalk works alongside Brightspace so that each SoftChalk lesson or activity simultaneously creates both of the following:
- An LTI link via SoftChalk’s Link Selector tool for publishing activities to Brightspace and getting scores in the Grade Center
- A hyperlink for sharing the lesson outside of Brightspace

For New Users of SoftChalk
Get started with SoftChalk by going to http://tri-c.softchalkcloud.com and logging in with your S# and network password.
For Existing Users of SoftChalk
Tri-C faculty will only have access to SoftChalk Create Online for creating and editing lessons. The desktop SoftChalk Create application will no longer be supported for Tri-C users.
Legacy Activities: Fall 2021, SoftChalk has updated their activities to be more modern and appealing, and to meet WCAG 2.1 web accessibility standards, improve compatibility with mobile and desktop devices, improve experiences running with assistive technology, such as screenreaders. If you have SoftChalk Lessons that you have been using for at least two years without any edits or changes, you are likely using outdated legacy activities, which may cause some issues for you and your students. It is suggested to update SoftChalk Lessons with the new activities.

If students are required to use this software in a course, an accessibility statement is required to be added to the course’s student resources.
