Regulations and Refund Policies
Behavior and Child Safety
Students of the Creative Arts Academy and their Parents/Guardians agree to the following:
- Students are asked to refrain from engaging in loud or disruptive behavior. Students should be respectful of the faculty, fellow students, and the property of the College at all times. Failure to adhere to these conditions could result in the student’s removal from the program at the discretion of the Director of the Creative Arts Academy.
- To ensure the safety of our students who are minors, parents/guardians are asked to pick up the student immediately following the lesson or class. In the event of an emergency, or the parents/guardians being more than ten minutes late in picking up their child, students will be placed with Campus Security who will alert the proper authorities to pick up the child.
- Creative Arts Academy faculty and staff do not supervise children before or after classes, lessons, and performances. Children are under supervision during their instruction time ONLY. Neither instructors nor administrators are responsible for supervising children outside of teaching and performance times.
- Students are required to fill out a Creative Arts Academy Emergency Medical Form and Photo Release Form for the calendar year.
Contact Information
Students of the Creative Arts Academy and their Parents/Guardians agree to the following:
- Each student shall immediately notify the Creative Arts Academy office of any change of address, telephone number, or email address. Creative Arts Academy is not responsible for any lost or undeliverable mail or undeliverable notices or account statements.
Attendance/Tardiness/Terminations/Refunds
Students of the Creative Arts Academy agree to the following:
- Attend a full session of classes at the regularly scheduled time, unless a prior arrangement with your instructor has been made.
- If a student should be late, someone should contact the office at 216-987-6145. It is really important to communicate it. If the student should have an unexcused/unexplained absence or is late twice without contacting the office or the parent’s liaison, the student may be removed from the program. There will be no refunds if you are dismissed from the program.
- After the first class of instruction, no refunds will be provided.
Payments
All students agree to the following:
Payment in full must accompany all registrations upon the start of each semester, unless a payment plan has been approved by the college registrar.
Payments can be made online at http://www.tri-c.edu/arts-and-entertainment/creative-arts-academy/music.html. Payments can also be made over the phone, in person, or by mail with a money order, personal or certified check, or credit card (American Express, Discover, VISA, Mastercard). Cash is NOT accepted.
Future enrollment will not be permitted if prior semester tuition and fees are not paid. Additionally, a student with an unpaid balance will not be permitted to perform in the final semester concert if tuition and fees are unpaid. Late fees will carry over to the following semester if they are not paid in the semester that they are due. Instructors, assistants, and student assistants DO NOT accept payments and thus are not responsible for payments. Payments are only to be made with the Creative Arts Academy Office Coordinators or directly to the college enrollment center.
Weather Cancellations
Occasionally, the College may cancel classes because of inclement weather. Faculty, staff, and students are expected to consult broadcast media and/or the Tri-C website, www.tri-c.edu, for official notification. For Saturday classes, an announcement will be made on the voicemail by calling 216-987-6145.
