Paralegal Program Highlights
This spring 30 Tri-C paralegal students were inducted into Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX), the national honor society for paralegal/legal studies.
Becoming a member of LEX is a prestigious achievement that reflects a student’s mastery of rigorous coursework, commitment to academic honesty, and dedication to advancing the paralegal profession. During the induction ceremony, several additional paralegal students were recognized with Excellence Awards, earned from achieving the high “A” in a paralegal studies course during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Paralegal Studies Student Takes First Place in the LEX Scholarship Competition
For the second year in a row, a Tri-C Student took first place in the LEX scholarship competition. This is a wonderful achievement, as students from over 150 institutions are eligible to participate in this competitive scholarship competition. The winner, Valerie West, will get $1,500 and her essay will be published in The Legal Educator - a national journal.
The LEX Scholarship Competition is an annual student writing competition for paralegal and legal studies students enrolled in American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE) member institutions with LEX chapters.
Ever wonder where our paralegal graduates end up?
Many jump into the paralegal profession, while others may continue their education at a four-year institution or even move on to law school, depending on their prior post-secondary education.
