Artificial Intelligence (AI) Unconference: Understanding the Power of AI in Higher Education 
Friday, April 12, 2024 | Westshore Campus.

 What is an unconference?

This innovative event presented by the Faculty Development team puts the power into the hands of the attendees. Come prepared to teach, share, lead, learn, engage, and discuss. Sessions will be created “on-the-fly” by participants for participants! Unlike traditional conferences, unconference sessions are not proposed and accepted prior to the event. Instead, on the morning of the unconference, attendees will let the event organizers know what topics they want to learn about and/or what topics they would like to lead a session about. Topics that may be covered during this unconference include but are not limited to:

• What AI is exactly and what types of AI exist
• Using AI in the classroom with assignments, or as professors
• Discouraging unsanctioned AI usage
• Ethical considerations regarding AI
• Current events relating to AI
