Employee Resource Groups
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are employee-led groups that provide opportunities for members to engage personally and professionally and to support one another in building a sense of belonging within the organization.
Asian American Pacific Islander
Founded in 2024, the Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Employee Resource Group (ERG) promotes networking, professional development and mentoring opportunities for faculty and staff.
The AAPI ERG offers:
- Support and camaraderie for AAPI employees
- Leadership and professional development opportunities
- Mentoring support for AAPI employees and students
- Opportunities to elevate Tri-C’s brand as a welcoming and inclusive employer
The Black Caucus
Founded in 1969, Cuyahoga Community College’s Black Caucus advocates for and promotes the well-being and success of Black faculty and staff. As an employee resource group (ERG), the Black Caucus provides networking, professional development, mentoring and leadership opportunities with a focus on recruitment, retention, learning and advancement.

Military and Veterans Employee Resource Group (MAV)
The mission of the Military and Veterans ERG is to create a forum for veteran employees to grow personally and professionally through the power of networking, collaboration, discussion and professional development.
Its vision is to foster a culture of inclusive excellence in which veteran employees feel welcomed, supported, celebrated and empowered to reach their personal and professional potential.
MAV offers:

- Mentoring support for employees and student veterans
- Opportunities to dispel myths around the military experience while elevating Tri-C’s brand as a “veteran friendly” employer
Network of Women
Tri-C's Network of Women offers:

Sexual Orientation and Gender Equality Council (SOGE)
SOGE’s mission is to educate the College on issues of sexuality and gender in order to create a secure and inclusive community that embraces all forms of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.
This mission was designed with a number of long-term programs and initiatives in mind:
- Supporting the student-led Lambda Gender-Sexuality Alliance (GSA) groups on each campus
- Promoting and collaborating with the Safe Zone Ally training program.

Unidos Subiendo
Objectives:
- Assist in the advancement and retention of the College’s Hispanic/Latino employees by providing opportunities for learning and sharing.
- Create a sense of belonging and enhance the Tri-C experience for Hispanic/Latino employees through networking and mentoring opportunities.
- Help increase the number of Hispanic/Latino employees at Tri-C by connecting community members and graduates to career opportunities at the College.
- Leverage community partnerships for mutual support while helping facilitate positive change through education.
