1. What is the Stomp Card?
The Stomp Card (formerly My Tri-C Card) is the official form of identification for all Tri-C students, staff and faculty. Your S-Number, which appears on your Stomp Card, links to your student and/or employee record(s). You can use the card to make purchases at all campus locations that accept the Stomp Card.
2. I have a My Tri-C Card — do I need to replace it with a Stomp Card?
No. All current My Tri-C Cards will remain active and functional. Effective July 1, 2020, the student ID was redesigned; however, all functionality will remain the same.
3. Do I need a Stomp Card?
Every student, staff and faculty member must have a Stomp Card (or previously issued My Tri-C Card) as their official form of College identification. You may be required to present it during exams, to obtain personal account information, or as proof of enrollment or employment.
4. Where do I get a Stomp Card?
To obtain or replace your Stomp Card, visit the Tri-C Admissions and Enrollment Services most convenient to you.
5. Can I use my chosen name on my Stomp Card?
Yes; however, you must add your chosen name to your student profile via my Tri-C space before the name can appear on your Stomp Card. Admissions and Enrollment Services staff are unable to add a chosen name for you. Visit our This Is Me webpage for more information on chosen names and instructions for adding a chosen name your profile.
6. Where can I use the Stomp Card?
The Stomp Card can be used at the following campus locations:
- Bookstores
- Dining Services locations
- Recreation Centers
- Admissions and Enrollment Services
- Copy Centers
- Learning Commons (printing)
- Vending machines (College wide)
- Massage Therapy Clinic (Eastern Campus)
- Alere at JSTC (student-run restaurant)
7. Are there any discounts associated with the Stomp Card?
Visit the Stomp Card homepage to see the perks that come with the Stomp Card, including those offered by our off-campus partners.
8. How do I add funds or check my account balances on the Stomp Card?
Funds may be added at any Admissions and Enrollment Services location that accepts cash, credit cards or personal checks (Note: There is a 2.4% credit card fee at Admissions and Enrollment Services, as well as a waiting period for personal checks to clear).
Funds may also be added via cash or credit card (no fee) at any account management center (AMC) machine, located near each campus Admissions and Enrollment Services and Learning Commons.
Finally, funds may be added at any time via credit card (no fee) through the Online Campus Card Office.
You can also check your account balances and access monthly statements from the Online Campus Card Office.
9. Are there fees for using the Stomp Card?
There are no fees directly associated with the Stomp Card; however, there is a 2.4% fee when adding funds to the Stomp Card via credit card at Admissions and Enrollment Services.
10. Why do I have more than one account on Stomp Card?
There are four different accounts linked to your Stomp Card. Though they’re linked to all Stomp Cards issued, not all cardholders will need or use all of them.
Book Account: Financial aid dollars awarded to students based on number of credit hours and total dollars awarded. This account can only be used for qualifying purchases at campus bookstores. There are no discounts associated with this account.
Emergency: Temporary financial assistance provided to students waiting on financial aid to be approved and distributed. Funds may be used anywhere the Stomp Card is accepted. Contact the Financial Aid office with any questions regarding this account.
Stomp Cash: Students with available authorized financial aid may transfer up to $300 into this account for on-campus food and beverage purchases. Funds may be used at all Dining Services locations, vending machines and the Barnes & Noble Café.
Tri-C Cash: This is your primary Stomp Card account. Funds may be deposited for use anywhere the Stomp Card is accepted.
11. Can I transfer money from one account to another on my Stomp Card?
Funds cannot be transferred between accounts. Students can perform Authorized Aid transfers through the Online Campus Card Office during approved periods. You may transfer a maximum of $300 to your Stomp Cash account. Depending on authorized aid availability, actual amounts available may be less.
12. Why can I only transfer $300 of authorized financial aid to my Stomp Card?
Due to Student Financial Aid guidelines, $300 is the maximum amount allowed for transfer. Contact the Financial Aid office or visit a campus Admissions and Enrollment Services with questions regarding Authorized Aid.
13. Can I access my Stomp Card account from my Tri-C space?
Yes. Log in to my Tri-C space and click the Menu link in the upper right corner. Click Discover and search “Stomp Card Office” to add the Stomp Card Office card to your homepage. Both the Online Campus Card Office and Stomp Card homepage are accessible from there.
14. What if I don’t use all the money I deposited onto my Stomp Card?
Any leftover funds on your Tri-C Cash account will continue to carry over each semester, unless the account remains inactive for two or more years. At that point, your account would be considered unusable and funds would be surrendered to the College.
To receive funds back from your Tri-C Cash account on the Stomp Card, complete a Refund Request form and return it to a campus Admissions and Enrollment Services for approval. There is a maximum refund of $150 from the Tri-C Cash account. Refunds will not be received same day. See terms and conditions on the form for more information.
The Stomp Card cannot provide cash withdrawals, and it does not function as a credit card or bank card.
15. What do I do if my card is lost or stolen?
Any student, staff or faculty member can temporarily deactivate their card by logging in to the Online Card Office, navigating to “Lost/Stolen Card” and selecting “Deactivate Card.” This will temporarily deactivate the card and prevent any purchases until reactivated. Once the card is located, the cardholder can visit or contact a campus Admissions and Enrollment Services (216-987-6000, Option 3) to reactivate their card. The cardholder must answer security questions in order to reactivate their card.
Stomp Cards can also be replaced at a campus Admissions and Enrollment Services. Another form of identification, as well as security questions, are required to create a new Stomp Card.
Replacement cost is $10 for a standard card and $15 for a security access card.
16. What is my username and password for the Online Campus Card Office?
Anyone who has access to the Online Card Office will now be able to authenticate using single sign on.
When a cardholder changes a password associated with my Tri-C space or the College network, Online Campus Card Office and Tri-C Mobile app passwords are automatically updated.
17. Is there a mobile app I can use to view and manage my Stomp Card?
The Online Campus Card office can be accessed via the "Tri-C Mobile" app.
You can also access the Online Campus Card Office via the Stomp Card website.
18. Can I submit a photo of myself for my student ID?
Yes. Log in to the Online Campus Card Office and navigate to the Account option on the left side menu. Click Upload a Photo and follow the directions to upload a photo for approval.
19. My username and password are working for my Tri-C space, but not for the Online Card Office. What should I do?
It can take up to 48 hours for new students to be able to log in to the Online Campus Card Office after completing the enrollment process. If the issue persists past that point, try logging out of my Tri-C space and logging back in to reset the Online Card Office.
Contact Admissions and Enrollment Services at 216-987-6000 (Option 3) for further assistance.
