Drywall Finishing is the art and craft of applying plasterboard or other wallboard to ceilings or interior walls of buildings; working with decorative quality; and includes lathers who fasten wooden, metal, or rock board lath to walls, ceilings or partitions of buildings to provide support base for plaster, fire-proofing, or acoustical material.
The apprenticeship certificate recognizes student attaining journey level status at the completion of the technical studies. Apprentices may apply technical studies together with general education coursework toward the Associate of Applied Science degree with a concentration in Drywall Finishing.
