April 6 — 6-8 p.m.
(RE)IMAGINING Student Showcase and Awards Ceremony
A Common Read Event
The (re)imaginings contest is a co-curricular event associated with the Common Reading Program where students translate the themes in the book (this year, Crying in H-Mart) through a medium of their choice (photography, a speech, art, poster, dance, etc.) A panel of faculty judges selects 15 finalists. Campus Presidents and a panel of community judges and guests award The Presidents' Best in Show and People's Choice awards at the reception. This free event is for Tri-C faculty, staff and alumni.

Envision Your Future Through the Eyes of Tri-C Alumni
Tri-C Alumni Spotlight
A panel of alumni from careers featured in Crying in H Mart, the current Common Reading Program book, will share their Tri-C and career stories with current students and engage in a moderated discussion, answering questions from the audience. A reception will follow in the lobby of the Eastern Campus Auditorium.

WRAAA Grocery Giveaway
Community Service Event
Tri-C is partnering with the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) and other partners to serve as the distribution site for the WRAAA’s Great Grocery Giveaway. The Great Grocery Giveaway will benefit Cuyahoga County senior residents ages 60 and older. Boxes of groceries and personal care items will be distributed at this event. The WRAAA will help area seniors register.

A Celebration of Tri-C Faculty: Past, Present and Future
Please join JFSC and AAUP for a Faculty Reception to celebrate the past, present and future with your faculty colleagues and Dr. Baston. The event will include heavy appetizers, desserts and beverages. Music and entertainment provided by the band 4 to GO with special guest Toni Pickens.

Be on the lookout, as Cleveland's iconic Terminal Tower will light up teal on the eve of Dr. Baston's inauguration.

Celebrating Legacy - Building Momentum: A Discussion With Tri-C's Past Presidents
The College, in partnership with the Cleveland Public Library, is hosting a panel of past Tri-C presidents — David Chapman (representing his father Charles E. Chapman); Nolan Ellison; Jerry Sue Thornton; and Alex B. Johnson — moderated by the College’s current president, Michael A. Baston. The panelists will discuss the founding of the institution, its mission and contributions to the community.

The Inauguration of Michael A. Baston, J.D., Ed.D, as the Fifth President of Cuyahoga Community College
Location: Metropolitan Campus Auditorium
