Congratulations to the first CMSD class to earn automatic acceptance to Tri-C! You will be fully admitted once you complete our supplemental information form.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why do students have to fill out a supplemental form?
A. We need additional information from students in order to fully admit them. This information includes the student's major, updated contact information, Social Security number, etc.
Q. Will students need to take placement tests?
A. At Tri-C, there are many ways to place into coursework. First, we will review the student's transcripts for placement. Some students may need to take the English placement, ALEKS math placement or the English as a Second Language assessment.
Q. What additional documentation will students need to submit?
A. Students with special circumstances will be contacted by a recruitment specialist to submit any additional documentation, such as official transcripts, selective service documentation, residency information, etc.
Q. How are students made aware of this opportunity?
A. Students are made aware in multiple ways: from their high school, a letter or other communication from Tri-C (including a conditional acceptance letter), social media, and at the CMSD Goes to Tri-C Day events from Dec. 9 - 10, etc.
Q. Are there scholarship opportunities for these students?
A. In addition to the Say Yes Scholarship opportunities, students can complete the Tri-C Scholarship application.

Q. What if a student who receives automatic acceptance no longer wants to attend Tri-C?
A. No action is necessary for students who no longer want to attend Tri-C. However, applications will be active for one year if a student changes their mind.
