About the Community Giving Campaign
United Negro College Fund
The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is the nation’s largest and most effective minority education organization, helping more than 60,000 students attend college each year, helping HBCUs and other predominantly black institutions, their students, faculty and staff. Their support comes in many different forms, from capacity building to faculty development, from scholarships to fellowships, from training to advocacy. At the heart of their efforts stands their mission, which includes building a robust and nationally-recognized pipeline of African American students who have what it takes to get to and through college and ensuring that member colleges and universities are well-prepared to help them succeed—in college and in life.
Providing operating support to their 37 member historically black colleges and universities is the core of what they do. UNCF support helps member schools keep tuition affordable. They offer grants to help build capacity, faculty development programs and assistance with teacher education programs.
