Tri-C Westshore Campus President To Serve on the West Shore Chamber of Commerce

Scott Latiolais among newly elected board members

WESTLAKE — To help foster economic growth and collaboration among West Side communities, Scott Latiolais, Ed.D., the president of the Westshore Campus of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), was selected to serve on the West Shore Chamber of Commerce.

Latiolais is one of four new board members and brings two decades of experience in higher education to the role.

"I look forward to working with my fellow board members as we look to advance the economic development of the member businesses and our communities," said Latiolais.

He joined Tri-C in August 2022 after a nationwide search for the Westshore Campus president. Latiolais' innovative and student-focused experience in higher education includes senior-level expertise in career and transfer education, experience in adjunct faculty and curriculum development, and a track record of improving student access, learning, completion and employment.

Latiolais received a B.A. in English and French Linguistics from Louisiana State University, an M.S. in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Tennessee and an Ed.D. in Community College Leadership from Northern Illinois University.

The West Shore Chamber of Commerce represents communities west of Cleveland and promotes the growth and success of its members and the region.

"With the addition of these exceptional leaders to our board, we are poised to continue building valuable opportunities and driving innovation for our members and the communities we serve," said Linda Hamann, the president of the board.
