Tri-C Receives Best in Class, Hall of Fame Award for Board Diversity
College honored at GCP Inclusion Conference Aug. 16-17
The Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP) has recognized Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) for its commitment to diversity, as reflected in its Board of Trustees.
Tri-C received GCP’s Best in Class award for board diversity, along with Hall of Fame honors in the category. Hall of Fame designation is achieved for winning the Best in Class award three consecutive years.
Comprised of nine community leaders from a wide range of backgrounds, Tri-C’s Board of Trustees reflects the College’s commitment to developing and maintaining a culture that promotes and reflects diversity in all aspects of its operations. Tri-C remains dedicated to building trust, respect and confidence among its employees, students and community.
Tri-C was recognized during GCP’s 14th annual Inclusion Conference, held Aug. 16-17 at the Ariel International Center in Cleveland. The conference addresses current and upcoming themes and trends in the fields of diversity, equity, inclusion and economic inclusion.
Board members work alongside Tri-C’s president to fulfill the College’s mission and goals. The governor appoints three trustees, and six are appointed by the Cuyahoga County executive. Members serve five-year terms or the remainder of vacated terms.
The College previously received GCP awards for workforce diversity, senior management diversity and supplier diversity.
