Tri-C To Host Workforce Training Events During ‘In-Demand Jobs Week’
College seeks to prepare people for jobs with living wages
As part of a statewide celebration of in-demand jobs and industries, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) will host a series of events during “In-Demand Jobs Week” highlighting its Workforce Training programs.
"In-Demand Jobs Week” aims to empower job seekers to acquire the skills necessary to thrive in Ohio’s high-demand industries.
Tri-C's Workforce Training programs include a variety of courses and certifications, spanning Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering, Health Care, Industrial Welding, Information Technology and Cisco®, Public Safety, Skilled Construction Trades, and Transportation and Logistics.
"These events underscore our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality training that prepares individuals for success in today's workforce and provides a pipeline of talent that strengthens our community and economy," said Shana Marbury, J.D., the executive vice president of Tri-C's Workforce, Community and Economic Development division.
While some of the events are for high school students, the Workforce Training Program Showcase Event is free and open to the public Wednesday, May 8, from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Manufacturing Technology Center (2415 Woodland Ave., Cleveland).
Attendees can experience a comprehensive overview of Tri-C's training programs, including Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering, Health Care, Industrial Welding, Cisco® and other Information Technology training, Public Safety, Skilled Construction Trades, and Transportation and Logistics. Attendees can participate in hands-on activities, tour the Manufacturing Technology Center, and access resources for registration, financial aid and career services.
