Tri-C to Host Third Annual Women’s Summit

Sold-out March 3 event aims to inspire, motivate and empower women

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) will kick off Women’s History Month with a free summit designed to inspire, motivate and empower women in their daily lives.

Women on the Rise!: It’s Within You will take place 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 3 at Corporate College East in Warrensville Heights. The event is sold out.

Conference sessions will address topics like balancing priorities, women trailblazers, personality styles and reaching your career potential. Presenters comprise a dozen Northeast Ohio female executives.

“After two years of virtual summits, we are excited to come together and listen to the stories of female leaders and their journeys to where they are today,” said Nanci Coleman, a planning committee member. “We hope this summit will empower students, employees and community members to be the best versions of themselves.”

The opening address will be delivered by Tasha Baston, founder and CEO of Women Impacting the Next Generation of Sisters and senior pastor of St. Luke Cathedral in New York. April Thompson, executive chef and owner of Wild Thymez Personal Chef Service, will deliver the closing keynote, “Becoming a Realistic Superwoman: Sharing How to Create Your Version of Having It All!”

The Tri-C Women’s Summit is part of the College’s Advancing Women in Equity and Inclusion initiative, which provides information, services, programming and training to address matters of concern to women.
