Tri-C Students Named to All-Ohio Academic Team
Cuyahoga Community College leads state with 14 honorees
Fourteen Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) students — the most of any two-year college in the state — were named to the All-Ohio Community College Academic Team.
The All-Ohio Academic Team recognizes the top students in academics, leadership and community service. Nearly 80 students from across Ohio were chosen for this year’s team based on their records.
The following Tri-C students — designated by campus — made the All-Ohio Academic Team:
- Metropolitan Campus: Rachel Maldonado Santiago of Strongsville (third team); and Eman Tarairah of Shaker Heights (third team)
- Eastern Campus: Susanna Stoepfel of Akron (second team) and Izabela Zoga of Rocky River (third team)
- Western Campus: Andrew Sobhy of Parma (second team); Ramiro Hernandez of Cleveland (third team); Jennifer Jones of Chagrin Falls (third team); Laquetta Lucas of Solon (third team); Kelly Tryda of Cuyahoga Falls (third team); Taylor Vild of Garfield Heights (third team); and Nicole Youngkin of Cuyahoga Falls (third team)
- Westshore Campus: Kali Allomong of Westlake (third team); Rawan Awad of Cleveland (third team); and Rebecca Zamarripa of Rocky River (third team)
First-team honorees will receive $500 scholarships, while second-team members get $250 scholarships. All team members are recognized by the state in April as part of Community College Month.
The All-Ohio Academic Team program is supported by the Ohio Association of Community Colleges, Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society and Honda of America Manufacturing Inc.
