Tri-C's Renee Tramble Richard Admitted to Bar of U.S. Supreme Court
Corporate College president was previously College's general counsel for 10 years
Renee Tramble Richard, J.D., was recognized with one of the highest honors in the legal profession when she was sworn in to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Richard is the president and CEO of Corporate College®, a division of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), which offers professional training and development along with corporate meeting and conference space. Prior to her official appointment as Corporate College's president and CEO in June 2023, she served as Tri-C's vice president of Legal Services and Corporate College's interim president.
To qualify for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court, attorneys must be admitted to practice in the highest court of a state for at least three years prior to their application; must be in good standing with their state bar association; and must appear to be of good moral and professional character to the court.
Richard was sworn in during a ceremony on Dec. 11 in Washington, D.C.
Richard came to Tri-C in 2012 as the College's general counsel after serving as a partner for Roetzel & Andress LPA. In her 20-plus years as an attorney, she focused her practice on public law and public finance, working with municipal and state governments, nonprofit organizations, housing authorities, banks, higher education institutions and community development corporations.
She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Kent State University, an MBA from Cleveland State University and a Juris Doctor from the Cleveland State University College of Law.
