Tri-C Releases Community Impact Report
Report details College’s social, cultural and economic impact through programs and events
The impact of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) is not confined to its campuses. It reverberates throughout the region, shaping the future of the community one student, one program and one partnership at a time.
Tri-C released its 2022-2023 Community Impact Report on Wednesday, detailing how the College's many programs and events benefit the community socially, culturally and economically.
"This community's belief in the transformative power of education is what fuels our mission and makes Tri-C an extraordinary institution," said Michael A. Baston, president of the College. "We have opened doors to education, elevated aspirations and generated ripples of change that will continue to enhance lives for generations to come."
The College compiled information from its many departments, programs and educational partners in the community.
Since opening its doors in 1963, more than 1.2 million students have passed through Tri-C's doors, and the College has remained committed to supporting Northeast Ohio by meeting the needs of its residents and businesses.
The report details how the College contributed to the region during the 2022-2023 academic year by:
- Awarding more than 11,000 workforce certificates and nearly 1,900 associate degrees
- Providing more than 6,800 health and wellness services to the community
- Helping more than 17,000 low-income and first-gen youth and adults enroll in and complete a post-secondary program
- Reaching nearly 58,000 people through its Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland programming
- Connecting with more than 22,000 community members through its diversity events
In addition, the College added $1.5 billion in income to Cuyahoga County's economy during the 2020-2021 fiscal year.
