Tri-C President Alex Johnson Named to Crain’s ‘Power 150’ List
Publication recognizes local leaders shaping the future of Northeast Ohio
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) President Alex Johnson stands among the civic leaders moving Northeast Ohio forward as the region enters 2021, according to Crain’s Cleveland Business.
The publication installed Johnson on its Power 150 list, which highlights business, civic and political leaders shaping Greater Cleveland. Honorees were listed in the Crain’s 2021 Book of Lists. (A subscription is required to view the issue.)
Johnson has served as Tri-C president since 2013 and reshaped the student experience with a strong focus on access, equity and success. Graduation rates and totals have reached record numbers and continue to climb under his guidance.
Crain’s noted Johnson’s work in guiding Tri-C through the COVID-19 crisis. Johnson recently wrote a column for Crain’s focused on College efforts to build enrollment to better the community and aid economic recovery efforts.
The publication also noted Johnson’s involvement with local organizations such as Greater Cleveland Partnership, Team NEO and United Way of Greater Cleveland.
