Tri-C Police Academy To Host Job Fair and Open House on July 27
Event at KeyBank Public Safety Training Center to showcase state-of-the-art training facilities
The Law Enforcement Division at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) will host an open house this month for its Basic Police Academy and Dispatch Training programs.
The job fair and open house is Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the KeyBank Public Safety Training Center (7029 Homewood Ave., Parma Heights) at the Tri-C Western Campus.
"With this event, our goal is to bring awareness to prospective students that there is an affordable, short-term career pathway to law enforcement through quality education, training and certification at Tri-C," said Steven Hammett, director of the Tri-C Police Academy. "Additionally, we want to connect our students with employers who are actively hiring."
Attendees can tour the training center and Simulated Scenario Village and meet with academy and dispatch staff and instructors. Local law enforcement agencies will be available to talk about potential employment opportunities.
While the event is open to everyone, participants should be 21 to join the Basic Police Academy and 18 for the Dispatch Training program.
Anyone interested in attending can learn more and preregister for the event online. For more information, email Rachael Sedlak.
