Tri-C Partners With OAPSE on Higher Education Program
Partnership offers members discount for new skills to advance career
To help public school employees and their families add new skills to grow their careers, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) is partnering with the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE — AFSCME) to provide its members with affordable and quality education options.
All 30,000 members and their children, grandchildren and dependents can take credit and noncredit courses in person and online.
Tri-C will offer OAPSE members and their families an exclusive discount federal and state grants, and merit-based, needs-based and program-based scholarships. The exclusive OAPSE member discount applies to online courses to ensure flexibility to fit diverse lifestyles.
Tri-C already has the lowest tuition in the state and offers more than 1,000 courses spanning 200 career and technical programs.
To further enhance affordability, Tri-C is introducing payment plans for out-of-pocket costs, allowing students to spread expenses across the entire semester. OAPSE members with tuition reimbursement in their contracts will benefit from a deferred billing option This flexibility grants OAPSE members unprecedented control over their tuition expenses.
To begin the application process and access these benefits, interested individuals can visit the OAPSE/Tri-C Partnership website. Spring courses at Tri-C begin on Jan. 16.
