Tri-C Named Finalist for 2021 Best of Tech Awards
Greater Cleveland Partnership awards honor those supporting the local tech industry
Cuyahoga Community College’s (Tri-C®) Information Technology Services (ITS) department has been hard at work throughout the pandemic. Operating largely behind the scenes, ITS has been essential to the College’s ability to transition to an all-remote work and school environment last year and back to on-site work and classes this summer and fall.
Now, the department gets to take a long-deserved turn in the spotlight as a finalist for Tech Team of the Year in the Greater Cleveland Partnership’s 2021 Best of Tech Awards.
The awards celebrate local organizations that play a key role in advancing and supporting the area’s tech sector. Tri-C is one of 16 companies and higher education institutions to be named a finalist.
In addition to Tech Team of the Year, other finalist categories include Best Technology Solution – Commercial, Tech Company of the Year – Large Company, Tech Company of the Year – Small Company, Best Tech Services Company and Most Promising Startup. Three area organizations were also honored with Tech Week Community awards.
Winners will be announced during an awards event Sept. 30 at Corporate College® East in Warrensville Heights.
“We are very excited to be named a finalist in the Best of Tech Awards,” said Standish Stewart, vice president of ITS and chief information officer at Tri-C. “This is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and creativity of our ITS team as they continue to help the College run smoothly during a difficult time.”
