Tri-C Gallery East Explores Healing Through Art and Music

Exhibit runs Feb. 29 through March 28

An exhibit at the Eastern Campus of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) focuses on the use of art and music to explore the concepts of healing and inspiration through the creative process.

The 23rd annual Art and Healing Exhibition, featuring artwork across a variety of mediums, will run from Feb. 29 – March 28 at Gallery East.

This free exhibit — titled In Harmony: Vibing With Art and Music Therapies — is presented by Tri-C’s Creative Arts and Pre-Art Therapy departments and Ursuline College’s Counseling and Art Therapy department.

An opening reception will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29, and includes interactive projects, research displays, a silent auction and on-site vendors. Gallery hours are 10:30 a.m.  ̶  3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The College will also host an arts and music therapy workshop on March 1, led by Michele Tarsitano-Amato and Jara Dell. The cost to attend is $45, and professionals can earn four continuing education credits for participating. To preregister, complete the form at myglobalarts.com/art.

Eastern Campus is located at 4250 Richmond Road in Highland Hills. Gallery East is in room 135 of the Education Center, which is best accessed from Robert Bishop Drive off Harvard Road.
