Tri-C Expands Online IT Course Offerings With Additional Flexible Learning Options
College’s commitment to providing affordable online education will enable students to gain in-demand skills
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) will expand its IT offerings to include hundreds of affordable online courses. The new offerings aim to provide learners with noncredit training for IT professions that do not require a degree or certification.
The College will partner with ed2go, a leading provider of adult online education and part of Cengage Group, to expand online training opportunities across in-demand industries.
"We understand the value of career training in today's ever-changing job market and the need to provide flexible options for today's learners to quickly and effectively upskill or reskill to expand their employment opportunities," said Charles Dull, Ph.D., the dean of Computer Science for Tri-C's School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and Computer Science. "We partnered with ed2go because it has a proven background that will help us to best meet our region's learning and workforce needs."
The fully online model allows students to learn anytime, anywhere. Students can choose self-paced courses or instructor-led courses that offer opportunities for collaboration with instructors and other learners.
Many academic institutions partner with ed2go to provide innovative, relevant courses that align with job market demand and cover a variety of industries. Programs range from career and certification training to personal and professional development courses focusing on teaching transferable and in-demand skills.
"Through this partnership with Tri-C, we're excited to offer local residents the opportunity to access quality, flexible online education to improve their career prospects and their lives," said Rya Conrad-Bradshaw, the general manager of ed2go.
