Tri-C EMT Student Honored for Life-Saving Actions
Dominic Miller recognized by Tri-C, Polaris Career Center and Parma Fire Department
At the first sign of trouble, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) and Polaris Career Center student Dominic Miller sprang into action.
Miller encountered an individual experiencing an overdose and immediately provided aid by administering Narcan and using his rescue breathing mask. His immediate response and life-saving efforts were key to ensuring the individual's survival.
In recognition of his heroic efforts, Miller was recognized by Tri-C, the Polaris Career Center and the Parma Fire Department in a ceremony on Dec. 6 at Tri-C’s KeyBank Public Safety Training Center.
Miller is a student in the EMT/Fire Training program at the Polaris Career Center, offered in partnership with Tri-C. The program gives students the opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge in emergency medical services. Miller's ability to remain calm under pressure and use his training is a testament to the quality of education provided by this partnership.
