Tri-C, Citizens Bank Announce Workforce Partnership
Citizens invests $45,000 to assist College's workforce training efforts
In a market filled with fierce competition for talent, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) plays a vital role in training qualified workers to fill jobs throughout Northeast Ohio. And nowhere is that need for skilled workers more pronounced than in the manufacturing sector.
To help advance Tri-C’s ongoing workforce mission, Citizens Bank recently invested $45,000 to help the College expand its training capabilities – including those involving the Mobile Training Unit, a classroom and training lab on wheels, which visits area organizations and companies, bringing Tri-C’s expertise to them.
This week, Cleveland 19 News took a look at the new partnership between Tri-C and Citizens Bank. William Gary, Tri-C’s Executive Vice President of Workforce, Community and Economic Development; Alicia Booker, the College’s Vice President of Manufacturing; and Bruce Van Saun, CEO of Citizens Financial Group, weighed in on the need for investments like the one made by Citizens Bank.
