Tri-C Announces Spring Commencement at Progressive Field

In-person ceremony planned for June 2 in downtown Cleveland

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C^®) will honor its Spring 2022 graduates at Progressive Field on Thursday, June 2 — marking the College’s first commencement celebration at the venue.

The ceremony will take place at 3 p.m.

With more than 35,000 seats, the stadium provides enough space to safely gather while maintaining physical distancing guidelines. Eight guests may accompany each graduate to witness their cap-and-gown moment.

This is the second consecutive year that Tri-C’s spring commencement will take place outdoors. Last year’s ceremony took place at Byers Field at Robert M. Boulton Stadium in Parma.

Spring 2022 Commencement also marks the final graduation ceremony for Tri-C President Alex Johnson, who will conclude his tenure on June 30 after leading the College for eight years.

Details regarding Tri-C’s Spring 2022 commencement will be emailed to students. Information will also be posted at tri-c.edu/commencement and shared on social media as it becomes available.
