Tri-C Alum Is Cleveland Heights’ Featured Artist
1994 graduate Cynde Hujarski creates jewelry from recycled materials
Though it’s been 27 years, Cynde Hujarski is still building on what she learned while earning an associate degree in interior design and business from Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) in 1994.
After a decade working in commercial and residential spaces, the Cleveland-area artist turned her focus to jewelry in 2006. She now owns and operates Cynde H. Designs, creating earrings, necklaces and other adornments, often using recycled materials in the process.
She is particularly known for using 35-millimeter film negatives and slides in her jewelry, which is sold at locations and shows throughout Northeast Ohio.
Heights Arts named Hujarski its March 2021 visual artist of the month, recognizing her contributions to the visual arts in Greater Cleveland and her commitment to making environment-friendly products.
