Tri-C 10KSB Executive Director Joins Regional Resource Series' Podcast
Erika Hill highlights 10KSB program benefits for small business owners
Erika Hill, executive director of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) program at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), recently discussed the program with Woodmere Mayor Ben Holbert on the Regional Resource Series video podcast.
Hill spoke about 10SKB in-depth, including:
- The history of 10SKB at Tri-C and how the program has evolved over the last 11 years
- Requirements of businesses and how to apply for 10SKB
- How 10SKB is set up, including the number of sessions a year
- Local success stories from 10SKB at Tri-C
Hill emphasized that the program is looking for “coachable” business owners ready to take their business to the next level. 10SKB assigns each business owner a mentor who helps them develop a business plan.
“Business owners have the opportunity to give and take and learn and contribute value in exchange,” she said. “It’s a safe space for them to come together and exchange concerns and challenges.”
Applications for the program are always accepted, Hill said. The College is currently recruiting for the Fall 2024 session, which begins in September.
The Regional Resource Series podcast brings viewers face-to-face with the key players in organizations that help the region grow. Each episode delves into initiatives and programs that can make an impact.
