‘The Cleveland 500’ Recognizes Tri-C Leaders as Influencers in the City
College President Alex Johnson and Tri-C Foundation President Megan O’Bryan honored
Two of The Cleveland 500 — a collection of civic leaders, doers, visionaries and idea generators — help shape the city’s future through their roles at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®).
Tri-C President Alex Johnson and Cuyahoga Community College Foundation President Megan O’Bryan stand among the list of forward-thinking influencers created by Cleveland Magazine. The Cleveland 500 is featured in the February issue of Community Leader.
Johnson was recognized among education leaders, while O’Bryan was honored in the category of civic clubs and nonprofits. (Click here for the full list, which includes individual profiles.)
Johnson has served as Tri-C president since 2013 and reshaped the student experience with a strong focus on access, equity and success. Graduation rates and totals have reached record numbers and continue to climb under his guidance.
O’Bryan joined the College in 2015 to lead the Foundation, which works to provide Tri-C students with the resources to learn and thrive. The Foundation awarded a record $3.8 million in scholarships to more than 3,000 students last year.
