Honoring All Who Served: 2022 Veterans Day Observance Features Ceremony, Service Project
Tri-C will honor those who served with events Nov. 10 at Western Campus
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) will honor U.S. military veterans with reflections and a service project at its Western Campus in observance of Veterans Day.
“Veterans Day provides an opportunity for us to thank the courageous individuals who put their love of country and willingness to serve for the common good,” said Marjorie Morrison, Tri-C director for Veteran and Military Connected Services. “We thank them and their families for their contributions and for their part in defending our nation.”
U.S. Army veteran Ryan Rasnick and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Casey Senn will speak in a program on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. at Western Campus at 11000 Pleasant Valley Road in Parma.
Following the program, students, staff and faculty can assemble hygiene kits for Cleveland-area veterans’ shelters. Students can also write thank you cards to be distributed at a local Department of Veterans Affairs nursing home.
Since its founding in 1963, Tri-C has enrolled more than 40,000 service members, with many graduating and starting successful civilian careers.
Tri-C has earned 13 consecutive Military Friendly® School designations in recognition of its commitment to veterans and active military students.
