Defining the ‘Now’ Normal: Tri-C President Outlines How Colleges, Businesses Can Collaborate

During the past two years, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) has invested time and resources into building out its virtual infrastructure. As 2022 comes to a close, many educational institutions and businesses are working to define the “now” normal and adjust to this new landscape in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“At its core, it comes down to meeting students where they are,” said Tri-C president, Michael Baston, in a recent column for Smart Business Magazine. “Those who chose to continue their college education in 2020 and 2021 flocked to virtual services including online classes, testing, academic counseling, job coaching and more.”
Baston explains that such investments remain critical to Northeast Ohio’s economic health and viability, as they must produce graduates ready to meet the needs of regional employers.
