Corporate College President Selected for Leadership Cleveland Class of 2025
Renee Richard to join cohort of 62 civic leaders for 10-month program
Renee Richard, the president of Corporate College®, a division of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), was one of 62 civic leaders chosen for the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2025, which includes individuals from diverse backgrounds in the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
Beginning this fall, the cohort will begin an intensive 10-month program that challenges members to collaborate for action on important community issues impacting the Greater Cleveland area.
Participants were selected through a competitive application process. The program will begin in September with a retreat, followed by monthly sessions, a mid-year retreat and small group meetings. Next spring, the group will travel to another city to gather insights that Cleveland businesses and organizations can implement.
“It’s a privilege to be named to a talented group of diverse leaders for this opportunity to collectively move our region forward,” Richard said. “I look forward to connecting with my cohort to share ideas on how we can strengthen our region and address common issues to build a richer community.”
Before Richard was officially appointed Corporate College’s president and CEO in June 2023, she served as Tri-C’s vice president of Legal Services and Corporate College’s interim president. Richard came to Tri-C in 2012.
The Class of 2025 includes individuals from other organizations such as PNC Bank, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Cavaliers, NASA, the Cleveland Clinic, the Cleveland Public Library, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Cleveland Foundation. Nearly 41% identify as BIPOC and 45% as female.
Only 2,759 people have completed Leadership Cleveland since the first class in 1978.
