Corporate College Helps Nonprofit Find Success With its Hallmark Event
Conference highlights welcoming and supportive environment
When the Milestones Autism Resources needed a venue to host its premier event, Milestones National Autism Conference, Corporate College® was up to the challenge.
With 42 exhibitors and 60 breakout sessions featuring over 48 speakers, the conference needed a venue that could meet the diverse needs of its attendees. Corporate College, a division of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), rose to the occasion, providing not only comprehensive facilities but also a welcoming and supportive environment.
"It's a big conference," said George Toma, the executive director of Conference and Facility Sales & Operations at Corporate College®. "It's a lot of moving parts. It's a lot of breakout sessions and things moving at the same time."
Their offerings included accessible spaces, flexible classroom setups, and advanced technology for broadcasting sessions. Logistical needs, like parking for 600 vehicles and a central metropolitan location, were skillfully handled, enhancing the overall experience. The in-house catering by A Taste of Excellence, offered a range of dietary options and provided about 500 lunches each day.
However, "while the amenities and location made Corporate College the right choice for Milestones, it was the people that set it apart."
The dedication of the Corporate College team was evident, with staff always ready to assist and ensure smooth operations. Their proactive collaboration during three site visits demonstrated their commitment to excellence, leaving Vanetta Perry, the development director at Milestone, feeling fully supported.
