Corporate College® CEO Celebrated as a Top Female Achiever by ‘Code M Magazine’
Renee Tramble Richard among 16 women highlighted in May issue
Renee Tramble Richard, J.D., has been named one of Code M Magazine’s 16 Female Achievers for her leadership as an executive and attorney. This recognition celebrates women who make a difference in their professions, communities and families.
Richard is the president and CEO of Corporate College®, a division of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), which offers professional training and development along with corporate meeting and conference space. Prior to her official appointment as Corporate College’s president and CEO in June 2023, she served as Tri-C's vice president of Legal Services and Corporate College’s interim president.
“She leads a team that provides training in leadership and organizational development, quality and continuous improvement, and professional development,” the magazine wrote in its May issue. “Her team interacts with corporate entities concentrated in Northeast Ohio and across the country — including California, Texas and Michigan.”
Richard also helped establish the Center for Entrepreneurs at Corporate College in 2023. The Center provides curriculum, programming and support for entrepreneurs to meet their business goals.
Richard came to Tri-C in 2012 from Roetzel & Andress LPA, where she served as a partner. In her 20-plus years as an attorney, she focused her practice on public law and public finance, working with municipal and state governments, nonprofit organizations, housing authorities, banks, higher education institutions and community development corporations.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kent State University, an MBA from Cleveland State University and a Juris Doctor from the Cleveland State University College of Law.
Richard was named a YWCA Woman of Achievement and the Black Professional of the Year by the Black Professional Association’s Charitable Foundation in 2022, one of Crain’s 2021 Notable General Counsels, a 2021 Smart Business Women Award Honoree and the 2018 Women of Color Foundation’s Woman of the Year.
