Better for Veterans: Tri-C Earns 14th Consecutive ‘Military Friendly’ Designation
College recognized as Gold school for work with veterans and military members
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) has earned its 14th consecutive Military Friendly® School designation in recognition of its commitment to serving veteran and active military students and their families.
Tri-C attained Gold status in the ratings. Institutions were evaluated in categories such as graduation rates, student retention and job placement success.
“Welcoming veterans and their families at Tri-C is a core part of assisting them in their career journey after their sacrifices to serve,” said Marjorie Morrison, director of Tri-C's Veteran and Military Connected Services. “To be recognized for the 14th consecutive year is a testament to this Collegewide effort.”
Only 530 of the more than 1,800 eligible schools received the Military Friendly designation. The full list of schools is available at militaryfriendly.com.
The Military Friendly program was created to help service members and their families select the best college, university or trade school to receive the education and training needed to pursue a civilian career.
Tri-C works with thousands of military families each year through its veteran service centers, which offer a full array of support services to help veterans reach educational and career goals as they transition from soldiers to civilians.
The centers are located at the Eastern Campus in Highland Hills, Metropolitan Campus in Cleveland, Western Campus in Parma, Westshore Campus in Westlake and the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland.
