Taking classes in eight-week terms is beneficial for many reasons.
Many individual classes run in eight-week formats. Find them by searching for classes and looking for “Second 8-Week Session” listed in the course’s “Part of Term” column.
In addition to individual classes, the college offers many full programs in eight-week sessions.
Yes. Full-time students need to be enrolled in 12 or more credits in a semester.
Current financial aid practices will remain the same. Financial aid will still be awarded based upon the number of credits you take in a semester.
Yes. As long as the two courses do not have a time conflict, you can take them at the same time as long as they are not pre-requisites for one another.
Yes, you can register for both the first and second eight-week sessions at the same time. We recommend registering for all of your classes early — October for the spring and March for the summer and fall.

Courses start throughout the year, so you’ll be able to pick up where you left off quickly. Consult a counselor or the program’s manager before deciding to withdraw so you have a clear plan for jumping back in. You must drop a class within the first week of the course to ensure you do not accrue a tuition balance.
The length of time varies by the program. Certificate programs can be completed in one semester to one year, depending on the number of credits a student takes. Associate degrees are designed to be completed in two years or less for full-time students.
