Voter Registration Information

It's Always an Election Year in Ohio.

Voter Registration InformationIn 2025, we have two Primaries on May 6 and Sept. 9. The General Election is Nov. 4.

Every election, you have the choice of three ways to vote:

  • Vote Early In-Person at the Board of Elections: Board of Elections Hours
  • Vote-by-Mail
  • Vote on Election Day Check your polling location
  • Voter Registration Information has all the details.

Questions about voting? Email katharine.montgomery@tri-c.edu in Tri-C's Office of Government Relations.

Every Ohioan has a reason to vote on May 6.
State Issue 2 is on the ballot.

Tri-C Rock the Polls logoState Issue 2

Every ten years or so, Ohio seeks approval from voters to fund Ohio’s State Capital Improvement Program (SCIP). Under SCIP, the state issues bonds to provide local governments in all counties with funds for fixing roads, bridges, sewers and other infrastructure projects. Bonds are repaid using existing revenues – not by raising taxes.

The last 10-year reauthorization was passed in 2014 and is coming to its expected conclusion. As this program relies on an amendment to Ohio’s Constitution to fund it, Ohioans are being asked to vote yes/no on the next round of infrastructure funds.

  • A “yes” vote allows the state to issue up to $2.5 billion in general obligation bonds, limited to $250 million per year over 10 years, to assist local governments in funding public infrastructure improvement projects.
  • A “no” vote opposes the state issuing up to $2.5 billion in general obligation bonds, limited to $250 million per year over 10 years, to assist local governments in funding public infrastructure improvement projects.

Voter Registration Information and Important Dates

National Voter Registration Day LogoNational Voter Registration Day (NVRD)

Tri-C is proud to be a national community partner in this annual effort to boost voter registration in America. NVRD takes place on Sept. 16, 2025.

Make plans to attend The Voting Experience - Tri-C's pop-up voting event. You'll learn how to register. We'll also guide you through the three ways to vote: Early In-Person voting at the Board of Elections, Vote-by-Mail, or voting at your local polling location on General Election day.

Tri-C celebrates many civic holidays in addition to NVRD:

  • The two weeks surrounding Constitution Day — Sept. 17 — kicks off The Voting Experience at Tri-C each year. It's our voting pop-up event on each campus. Check back for details closer to this date.
  • National Voter Education Week — October 6-10 — Join the fun for five days of voter education posts across social media.
  • National Vote Early Day — Oct. 28 — Tri-C is a community champion in this national effort to encourage the return of vote-by-mail ballots early, giving the post office time to get your ballot back.
