    Critique with Richard Mosse
Tri-C students attended a critique with Richard Mosse, contemporary photographer and a visiting artist at Cleveland Museum of Art. The critique was followed by a lecture by Mosse on the breaking and remaking of documentary photography in his series "Infra." This work depicts rebel groups in eastern Congo who are prolonging the civil warfare and violence that dominated the entire country and claimed more than five million lives between 1994 and 2003. 
    Perceptual Beauty - Instructor's Work in Discover Magazine
Michelle Murphy, photography instructor, is featured in the Discover Magazine for her body of work entitled, Perceptual Beauty. Her work will be exhibited at Brandt Gallery in Cleveland in a two-person show, which opens on October 12th.

    Tri-C Students Win Best Videographer at Ohio Hip Hop Awards
Congratulations to Purple-Films, the Cleveland production company founded by Daniel Gillespie and Jim Gall, graduates of the VCDV and MARS programs at Tri-C. Purple won best Videographer of 2012 Ohio Hip Hop Awards & Music Conference 

World renowned photojournalist Ron Haviv at Tri-C
On September 20th, 2012, Ron Haviv spoke at the The Black Box Theatre of The Tommy LiPuma Center for Creative Arts on the Metropolitan Campus. The event was well attended by Tri-C students and community. Haviv has produced images of conflict and humanitarian crises that have made headlines around the world since the end of the Cold War. His work is published by magazines such as New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, People, Vanity Fair and Time. Numerous museums and galleries have featured his work, including the Louvre, United Nations, and the Council on Foreign Relations.

    Jonathan Wayne Receives Fellowship Award
Jonathan Wayne, Associate Professor in the Photography Program, received the $20,000 Creative Workforce Fellowship award and additional support services from the Cleveland-based Community Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC).
