022 – PC Lab
A twelve station Windows-based Pro Tools training environment in which students are trained to use the Digidesign Command 8 control surface, Steinberg’s Wavelab, and have the luxury of recording talent directly from the built-in isolation booth.
026 – SSL Studio A
The 48 channel SSL Duality combines classic analogue sound with Digital Audio Workstation control. This Walters-Storyk designed control room and recording studio boasts an impressive selection of outboard gear, thirty-two I/O of Pro Tools HD interfaces, and three choices of loudspeaker monitoring. Multiple students can learn audio engineering directly within this theatre style control room. Studio A houses our Steinway Model B grand piano. STUDIO A is one of the finest recording studios in the world, and it is here at Tri-C’s Center for Creative Arts.
028 – Toft ATB Studio
The 24 channel Toft ATB is a modern recreation of a classic analogue desk. With 24 I/O of Pro Tools HD and highly regarded outboard gear students can undertake projects from start to finish in this small yet powerful control room.
024 – Machine Room
This room contains the most advanced digital audio distribution network in the world, a multiple-channel Ethernet-based AVIOM system capable of distributing dozens of channels of high quality audio from room to room.
030 – Sony Surround Suite
The incredibly powerful Sony DMX-R100 digital console is capable of a full 48 channel mix. Combine that with 32 channels of Pro Tools HD, 5.1 surround mixing, outboard signal processing, and the ability to post audio to video, there is just about nothing this control room cannot handle.

033 – TL Audio Studio
With a 24 channel TL Audio M4 console as its centerpiece, this control room also has modern recreations of classic out-board gear. This room features a 24 channel Pro Tools HD system and also boasts the Mixed Logic M24 control surface.
034 – Control 24 Surround Suite
In this 5.1 editing and mixing suite, students learn the fine art of mixing on a Digidesign Control 24 work surface. It features 24 channels Pro Tools HD system.
035 – Learning Resource Center
This room has the capabilities of accommodating up to 36 students for instructor presentations. The instructor has the ability to demonstrate intricate multi-media presentations that can include 5.1 surround play-back, Pro Tools HD demonstrations, and perhaps, most impressive, is the ability to view into and listen to sessions that are held within the SSL Studio A.
302 – Music Technology Lab
Whether it is learning the basics of signal flow on a Mackie 1604VLZ mixer, ProTools LE operation, introductory or advanced MIDI utilizing MOTU Digital Performer, or composition scoring with Finale, this 18 station laboratory can inspire and satisfy a wide range of students from any discipline within the media arts.
303 – Advanced Digital Mixing Lab
Seeking an Avid certification in ProTools? Six-teen individual stations of Digidesign’s C 24 control surfaces manipulating ProTools systems will help you achieve that goal. ProTools-certified instructors will lead you every step of the way. This laboratory also has a Digidesign D-Command to train students on the ICON series of control surfaces.
310 – Vintage Trident Studio
Crave the huge warm sound of a classic analogue desk? The thirty-two input Trident 80B will definitely ignite your sound. Pair the console with an MCI JH24 2” twenty-four track recorder and it’s like you have traveled back in time. But, for those who do not want to take the time with analog tape there is also the IZ Radar twenty-four track hard disk recorder to bring you right back to the modern age. This control room also boasts an incredible collection of outboard signal processing gear to further elevate any recording.
